Tatlong taon ako noong panahon ng Edsa Revolution
Hindi pa namin nauunawaan ang mga pangyayari noon. Sa paaralan ko na lamang natutunan ang mga naganap at nalaman ang tunay na kwento ng “Cory! Cory!” at ng cory sign.
26 na ako ngayon at masasabi ko na ngayon ko lang lubusang naunawaan ang halaga ng ipinaglaban ni Tita Cory at Ninoy. Sayang nga lang at ang ating Gobyerno ngayon ay punong puno ng kawatan na ang iniisip lang ay ang kanilang sariling kapakanan. Maraming bata na sana ang nag-aaral sa halip na namumundok; marami na ding pamilya ang makakain at hindi magtitiis sa gutom kung walang mga magnanakaw ng pera ng bayan.
Sa katapangang iyong ipinakita. Paninindigang hindi nabuwag kahit ng malalaking tangke. At higit sa lahat sa pagbabalik ng kalayaan at demokrasya ng Bansang Pilipinas. Maraming Salamat po!

A very poignant post. My parents were actually rallying in front of the tanks on the first EDSA revolution, prepared to die for a social change. I grew up knowing that they fought for the democracy and freedom they wanted, so Cory was a symbol, a beacon of hope indeed.

She will always be remembered as the symbol of Democracy. a true kind-hearted brave Filipino woman who always stood for what is right.
toyomansi & wait, in our present generation, I am not sure if the efforts that the Aquinos and our families have made for our country will not be wasted.
Yes, we are enjoying our democracy but with the corrupt Government Officials that we have, Philippines is not leading to advancement but instead, putting the country to extreme poverty, hunger, poor education system & health facilities especially in the remote areas.
Hopefully we could still find a good leader. A leader who will bring back the trust and confidence of its people and will revive what Tita Cory and Ninoy has started.
